Baptized on April, 26 1564 was Mr. William Shakespeare. A man known today to be the greatest writer, and most performed and read playwright in the entire world. A boy who came from John Shakespeare, a tradesman and Mary Arden, the daughter of a farmer. William was not given an outstanding successful life, but achieved it himself. He grew up in England as the third of eight children. He attended a local school where the strict curriculum was Greek mythology, ancient history, reading, writing, acting, and Latin. Instead of attending a University when he was 18 years old he married the love of his life, Anne Hathaway. William was 18 at the time and Anne happened to be 26, actually pregnant carrying his child. He writes about the War of Roses and focuses on historical events. In this specific story, Constance a mother hysterical over the loss of her son says, “Grief fills the room up of my absent child, lies in his bed, walks up and down with me, puts on his pretty looks, repeats his words, remembers me of all his gracious parts, Stuffs out his vacant garments with his form” (nybooks). Because this play was published so close to Hamnet’s death, it is believed that Shakespeare wrote this verse in remembering the death of his young. He used his own feelings of love and loss and reflected it into his play. During Shakespeare’s life as a husband we see him and his wife living apart which is believed to means their marriage wasn’t all that great. We can relate his marriage to Hamlet’s mother with Claudius. Hamlet wants to kill Claudius which is his own mother’s lover (Mays 1181-1290). I believed this related to the doubt in his own marriage as him and Anne went through hardships and were apart. However eventually when Shakespeare retired he invested his wealth and bought one of the biggest places in Stratford and took on the role as a family
