William West Anderson was known for many things in his life. He was known for being the actor of batman and the voice from the Mayor from Family Guy. But he was so much more than that. He once said “I can't tell you how grateful I am to those fans. They are not stupid. I think they appreciate my sincerity and my work. Actors want to be loved.” He was a very down to earth actor who understood the ways of the world. He was sincere and kind. He was born in Walla Walla, Washington to his father, Otto Anderson and his mother Audrey. His mother was an opera singer and his father, a farmer. When Adam was ten he had a collection of comic books and “batman” was the one that stuck out to him that most. After college he had a job as a disk jockey at a local radio station. He then enrolled in Stanford for post-grad courses. He got drafted into the army, starting military television stations. After this him and his wife, Billie Lou Yeager, traveled and toured Europe, Germany, and Switzerland. When the money ran out, he joined a childhood and college buddy, Carl, who was starring in the kiddie program "The Kini Popo Show" in Hawaii. He then divorced his lovely wife and married Ngatokoruaimatauaia Frisbie Dawson. They had a daughter and a son together before they divorced in 1962. …show more content…

He then took on the stage name Adam West, which fit his role perfectly as he was always playing in western movies. After 7 years of working as an actor in Hollywood he was given the role as Batman in the T.V. shows.
