There are numerous differences throughout the book and the movie. Especially with Willy Wonka. In the book Willy Wonka is a bit odd but a fun character. He is excited about meeting all the children and showing them around the factory. Compared to the book Willy Wonka isn’t as excited to meet the kids. When Charlie is the last kid there he wins the the factory but his family doesn’t want to leave their house behind. Charlie has to choose between the factory and his family, he chooses his family. Charlie goes on with his life until Willy Wonka shows up upset about his dad. The movie provides a back story to Willy Wonka and the terrible relationship he had with his dad. In the movie Charlie helps Willy Wonka reconnect with his dad. Willy Wonka becomes very grateful and moves Charlie’s house and family into the factory. Where Charlie begins to learn the ways of the factory.
This is a good book for all ages. Adults and kids could enjoy the fun characters and vivid scenes. I would recommend the book rather than watching the movie. The book provides a clear description of each character and tells the story very detailed. …show more content…

The book is about five kids Charlie Bucket, Veruca Salt, Mike Teavee, Violet Beauregarde, and Augustus Gloop who find golden tickets in Willy Wonka’s chocolate bars. They win a tour of Willy Wonka’s factory and leave with an unlimited supply of candy. When the five kids and their parents arrive to the factory they discover a magical place with delicious candy and Willy Wonka’s clever inventions. One by one the children leave until the only one left is Charlie Bucket. Willy Wonka then explains that he is getting old and came up with the idea to hand out golden tickets so he can find someone to pass down the factory to.
