With the world in turmoil, some of the greatest nations in the world become hostile toward each other. Each nation is prepared, at any moment, to plunge into war. One of these nations is Great Brittain. At the height of its power Great Brittain has everything, land, wealth, and military force. Winston Churchill will ascend to his power through sly politics and sheer ability. Maybe to be thought of the greatest leader ever by some, Winston will bring glory and honor to his entire nation. Winston grew up in luxury, living a rather lavish lifestyle, which suggests that he was not deprived of more than basic needs or wants, or refused exemplary furnishings, hospitalities, or gifts.(Stephen R. Graubard, 174-175). Soon came the time for Winston to pursue academics at a nearby public school. At Harrow, Winston achieved very little, and struggled to apply himself to study. Lord Randolf, Winstons father, worried for him; he had hoped that the young Winston would follow in his footsteps and be a politician. When Winstons inability to learn was noted by his father, Lord Randolf concluded that Winston should then pursue the military. Because of Winstons lack of academic intellect, it took him three attempts to pass the necessary exams to be accepted at Sandhurst, an accomplished "cram school".
