Winter Driving 101: Stay Safe This Winter
Winter driving can be extremely dangerous. Road conditions can change without notice. Precipitation can change from rain to sleet in a heartbeat. Sometimes snow will cover a layer of ice on the roads, or “black ice” presents an invisible hazard.
There is not much we can do about the weather, but there are things that can be done to minimize risk and prepare for worst-case-scenarios. Here are a few of those things:
1. Take your vehicle in for a checkup before winter.
Have your mechanic check your tires and your fluid levels. This could save you big headaches down the road.
2. Stock up on emergency supplies BEFORE winter starts.
