Good Morning, Hope Germany has been going well for you so far. When you eventually get back stateside we need to hangout sometime with Derrick and Gibby. Classes and life have been going pretty well. In my Ag Economics class we had to read a book by John Steinbeck called Winter of Our Discontent, it’s like high-school all over again, here read this book and after you’ve read it let’s analyze it and talk about how it’s relevant to us. I honestly didn’t find the book to interesting and knowing you, you probably wouldn’t even finish the first chapter since the beginning was pretty confusing to try to read and make sense of. In every decision we make, our mind has already subconsciously devised a way to keep us following along that path, so that if we decide to change course we must be serious about it and have put some thought into it. This system helps to prevents us from making rash decisions such as robbing a bank on a whim. The main guy decides to try to rob a bank in his course of moral decline and has it planned out and even walks though all the steps in which he will rob the bank. He planned out how he would arrange his store and the tools for heist including a way to get rid of the weapon used to hold up the bank. As the moment was coming closer to happening he got everything set up how it would be needed and was about to execute it when an unseen variable stepped into place. His subconscious mind applied some reasoning to try to deal with the problem and allow him to continue on his course. After heavy thought and being unable to escape from the new circumstances he was forced to stray from his original course, but it was after much thought and deliberation. Our minds implant all of these fail safes and most of the time they do their job, but sometimes we are able to overcome these fail safes and continue on in a
