Macbeth receives a revelation from three witches about him becoming the King of Scotland. Driven by his determination to become the King and supreme ruler of scotland, Macbeth will do anything in his power to accomplish this goal. The motivating force behind Macbeth’s drive to become King, is the revelation of the three witches. The witches are supposedly clairvoyant, and they praise Macbeth saying, “All hail, Macbeth...” (1.3.51).
