“We learn from each other. We learn from other’s mistake, from their experience, their wisdom. It makes it easier for us to come to better decisions in our own lives”- Adrian Grenier. In our current society, people learn to make better decisions in our own lives by accepting others for who they are. For example, the possibility of learning from each other, different from humans, and less racism are reasons why people should accept others who are different from themselves. For example, in school, the students don´t care about other's skin color or race, but the only thing they care about is their loyalty, like how loyal are to others and how honest ar to others too. In the poem, “Without Title,” Diane Glancy illustrates that people should …show more content…

This experience reveals that people should accept others who are different from themselves because it is important to learn about diversity. Furthermore, the mother of the birthday girl is humiliating Rosaura by stating,“ You really and truly earned this,” she said handing them over. “Thank you for all your help, my pet.” Rosaura felt her arms stiffen, stick close to her body, and then she noticed her mother’s hand on her shoulder. Instinctively, she pressed herself against her mother’s body. That was all. Except her eyes. Senora Ines, motionless, stood there with her hand outstretched. As if she didn’t dare draw it back. As if the slightest change might shatter an infinitely delicate balance (Liliana Heker)”. Consequently, this evidence reveals that Rosaura thought that Senora Ines was going to give her a yo-yo and a bracelet, but, Senora Ines gave her money and she called her “pet” because she was used as a pet, was not invited as a guest. The short story suggests the guests of the party, the rich people, are treating Rosaura and her mother differently as a pet, like as discrimination. Moreover, the short story states, “ And you? Who are you?”, “I’m a friend of Luciana”, said Rosaura. “No”, said the girl with the bow, “you are not a friend of Luciana because I’m her cousin and I know all her friends. And I don’t know you.” “So what,” said Rosaura. “I come …show more content…

Sapolsky, people should accept others who are different from themselves because of less racism. By less racism, maybe people should accept other people’s skin color because it doesn’t matter the skin color, but also because it’s part of who they are, it’s also a part of you from the inside for who you really are. For example, the article states, “Some of the most compelling evidence for a hard- wired racial divide concerns a brain region called amygdala, which plays a central role in processing fear and aggression. If you were put in a brain scanner that identifies levels of activity in different regions and shown a picture of something scary, amygdala would leap into action, telling you heart to race and your skin to get clammy. It would also help you decide what to do next: Run like hell? Pull the trigger? Wet your pants?” (Robert M. Sapolsky). To be specific, this evidence shows the way people use their brains for their reactions and thoughts. The article suggests that many people use their brains in a different way, for example “ the majority of humans history, people lived in hunter- gatherer bands where they never met anyone of another race. The nearest such person was likely to be hundreds or thousands of miles away. It’s only extremely recently, in evolutionary terms, that humans have become mobile enough to encounter other races. Why, then, should our brains have evolved to have such
