A women’s work is never done, that is, in Katelyn’s eyes. In Katelyn Burns article, “No, Trans Women Athletes Do Not Have Unfair Advantages”, she wants to bring attention to transgender athletes. Her purpose of this article is to show how hard it is for trans genders to compete in sports because of an ‘unfair physical advantage’. Burns is building her credibility with personal facts and logic, stating very good knowledge about hormones in a trans women, and successfully employing emotional appeals; however, using pathos and logos throughout, her attempts to appeal the audience using emotion and logic help her credibility and ultimately, her argument.
