Women In Nazi Germany When people talk about World War II, people mention Hitler, Jews, concentration camps etc.. But do people ever wonder what life was like for women during the war? It is very seldom we ever hear about women who worked for the Nazis. Back then young girls in Nazi Germany had no control over their lives. Life for women in Nazi Germany was very harsh because of Hitler’s desire to increase the population. Women in Nazi society were to obtain a very precise part (C N Trueman). When Hitler became supreme leader, one of his first laws was the Encouragement of Marriage (C N Trueman) . All current married couples would get a government loan of up to 1,000 dollars (C N Trueman). Having one child meant that 25% of the loan did not have to be paid(C N Trueman). Having four children meant the whole loan did not have to be paid (C N Trueman). This law was to inspire people to have as many children possible (C N Trueman)! Hitler did not think women should work (C N Trueman). They were to stay home and take care of their children (C N Trueman). In today’s world, though children and kitchen are not considered a job, they are still an important part in many German women’s lives(Joachim Graff). Although it is known that women all over the world tend to try and handle their jobs and children at the same time, German women up to this day still believe that they should not work while they have children(Joachim Graff). Women who want to raise a family usually leave their job and stay at home for a few years(Joachim Graff). As a result, German women today still carry on beliefs from back then, that they should not work and take care of their children(Joachim
