Women have always been depicted as subservient to men, they had to fight to get every right they have and yet, they earn seventy-seven cents to every dollar a man makes. These pieces urge the empowerment of women. Before reading these pieces, women came across as that one person who always stayed behind the scenes and let other people steal their work, not getting the recognition for anything they did.
