Woodrow Wilson: President Prankster Many know Former President Woodrow Wilson as an advocate for democracy and world peace but little know of his cheerful, more playful side. Wilson had many hobbies, those including creating Executive Orders, playing golf, discriminating against Muslims, swimming, and being a startlingly impressive prankster. Former President Wilson showcased this in his most famous joke pulled on the European Union, the League of Nations. Wilson’s beginnings as a prankster began during the time he chose his career path, politics, becoming the Governor of New Jersey. These pranks were shown to the public and displayed as Executive Orders. An example of this is an Executive Order created in February of 1917 sharing land previously obtained legally from the Papago Indians in Arizona. This is only one of the many pranks that Wilson plagued the United States with but eventually he realized his presidency would not last forever and needed to make his mark on this world in the form of a prank.
While pondering this idea he decided that his prank has to be worldwide and he saw this opportunity in the form of the ongoing World War, the first of its kind. Wilson, in seeing his opening, seized the opportunity and decided to take part in the war continents away. In the events of the War Wilson tried his best to make it end quickly, as while it ended, he saw his opportunity to unveil his greatest prank, the League of Nations.
The League of Nations would define not only Wilson’s Presidency but also Wilson’s pranking career. He must make it memorable. Wilson’s charm and charisma allowed for him to be involved with European and Asian Affairs although being advised not to by his …show more content…

The League of Nations was supported by all including the United States until one day in the early months of 1920. Woodrow Wilson, President of the United States at the time announced to the world that the United States will not be joining the League of Nations due to popular opinion of the American people. This of course left the newly acquired League of Nations in shock as they did not know how to respond as they were left with a League without anyone to lead it.
