During his presidency, Woodrow Wilson showed great leadership in his handling of World War I by making decisions that helped America, advocating for democracy, and remaining neutral for most of the war. The reasons and supporting evidence as to why Woodrow Wilson showed leadership in World War I are that he always made decisions that would benefit America. Despite his bad health due to a stressful workload that would later cause him to be “rushed back to Washington, where he collapsed in the White House bathroom from an ischemic stroke (Brandeis University, The Last Days of Woodrow Wilson), he persevered and did the best he could for his country. Although this left him paralyzed and unable to be present in public, even on his bed, he worked with the help of his wife and father to help the United States.
