In 1933, a vial vicious dictator named Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany. Adolf Hitler hated Jews. He thought they were a waste of space, you could say. So, that is where Anne Frank comes in. In 1942, the Frank family went into hiding from Hitler and the Nazis. Hitler wanted to put all Jews into concentration camps and ghettos. While he was still capturing Jews, the Franks were hiding in an annex above Mr. Franks business. While hiding, Anne Frank wrote a diary. She wrote down everything, including her feelings, her loneliness, and her frustration. She was an understanding girl, who was smart and brave. Anne was optimistic regardless of everything, she was hopeful and good at heart, So good, that she even believed that in spite of everything people were really good at heart Anne Frank was a very optimistic girl. She always wanted to celebrate, even if when they were hiding. In act one Scene 5, Anne wanted to give everyone a gift for Hanukkah. She wanted to keep the spirit alive, and she wanted to sing Hanukkah songs "oh please, please. Let's sing the song I promise not to shout." No matter what, she cared for everyone. She cared about her cat, and she even said, "I love cats. I have one... a darling little cat but they made me leave her behind I left some food and a note for the neighbors to take care of her." During Act one Scene 5, Hanukkah is happening, and no one really cares except Anne. Anne gave everyone gifts, even though they didn't care about Anne that much. Even though they were hiding, she still managed to get everyone presents. Another way that Anne shows she cares is when Mr. Frank wanted Mr. Van Daan out. In Act 2 Scene 3, Anne says," I don't care about the food. They can have mine I don't want it! Only don't send them away. It'll be daylight soon they will get caught."She cared about Pete getting caught and he she didn't want him leaving the
