Overall, there are numerous advantages associated with consensual monitoring. By utilizing consensual monitoring, we are exploiting the trust the Demons Gang has in Worf. Worf is involved in criminal activity with the Demons Gang, which gives them minimal reason to be suspicious of Worf. Worf has entirely gained and maintained their trust. With that said, they will unknowingly incriminate themselves when speaking to Worf. Consensual monitoring is a perfect way to gather intelligence and evidence regarding the gang’s ongoing activity and future plans.
