Recent reports carried out by the Australian Trade Commision (Austrade) shows that the workforce in Australia is one of the most educated, multicultural and multilingual in the world. The report also states that at least 40% of the workforce hold a territary degree, which includes both higher education (including universities) and also vocational education and training (VET). As can be seen in Fig 5. Below, according to the Global Talent Competitive Index, Australia is ranked 9th out of 93 countries in the world, up from 15th in 2013, for the talent it produces, attracts and retains.
