Charlie Balderrama Mrs. DeBruyne CP English 11 3/21/2023 Abuse of the Service Animal title The definition of a service animal is an animal that is individually qualified to do work or perform duties for a person with a disability. Sande Buhai states that the ongoing misuse of federal service animals has produced a backlash against individuals who need such assistance. Part of the matter is that these federal rules constantly lack protection against ways for people to sneak around these government regulations. These laws each hold only one specific job or position for each service animal.
Testing on humans, specifically, death row inmates would be better than testing on animals when it comes to medical research. Both scientists and doctors have scientifically proven that even though animals are biologically similar to humans, they are not identical. Stacy Vale Karron, the author of Death Row Inmates in Clinical Trials: The Benefits of Human vs. Non-Human Subjects stated " There is empirical evidence showing that animal "models" are not accurate and cannot be relied upon for safety testing and disease research, therefore medical experimentation on humans is more effective in clinical trials toward the discovery of cures for human diseases than medical experimentation on animals " ( Karron 1 ). Abortion is a huge controversial issue that we have in the world today. The definition of abortion is to deliberately terminate a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. There are people who are pro-life supporters and feel abortion is an immoral act, and they would even consider it as murder. They believe life begins when the sperm fertilizes the egg during sexual intercourse. Pro-life supporters, believe that abortion should be illegal because it denies the unborn fetus from having any chance at life.
It’s very difficult to kill another human being, to intentionally end someone’s life with your bare hands in cold blood, and feel the shame, guilt, resentment, and rage take over and trap you in the dark place of your soul. It is difficult to inflict atrocities on other people, cause the emotional break down of another person, and simply live on without the malevolent act you’ve done haunting you for the rest of your life. Killing and cruelty is not something we are born with; it is not part of human nature. So, what can possibly open the doors for brutality and malice to enter the heart of a human? What would allow human beings to overcome the deep natural inhibitions they have against treating each other as game animals?

Animal Cruelty and Captivity Animals kept in zoos aquariums, and circuses are treated poorly by humans and inevitably suffer from disease, pain, starvation, and fear so they will perform seamlessly for the public. Animals are forced by their owners to carry out pointless tricks and performances and are almost always deprived of their normal behavior (Aquariums and Marine Parks). Animals are ripped away from their families and out of their natural habitat by zoo, aquarium, and circus workers and usually do not live their full lifespan due to the mental and physical abuse that comes from the captive place they reside in (Aquariums and Marine Parks). They are injected with various drugs because their unnatural behavior interferes with the entertainment they are meant to perform. Animals do not belong in tanks, cages, or exhibits and should not be treated with such poor care and neglect.

At what point can human/animal research is considered a criminal act? Visualize a defenceless little bunny trapped in a cage with needles full of medication forced into its soft fur.
