Kya Wright 1B World History DBQ. The Aztec empire ruled for two hundred years from 1350 to 1519 in what is now Mexico City. It had a large history and population that had a lot of interesting aspects to their culture. Three of the most important cultural areas we should learn about in World History are their region, their family structure, and their government. Even though the Aztecs have done a lot of things frowned upon today, they are still a good way to look into the ways of the past. One of the first interesting things about the Aztec culture is their regions and what higher powers they believe in. The Aztecs oftentimes gave human sacrifices to their gods as offerings. This happened so often they started what was called “flower wars” to get more sacrifices.
