Although the people during that time period thought that the war was going to end quickly, simply because it was between Austria and Serbia, the war surprisingly included many other strong countries because of nationalism especially regarding the Balkan colonies wanting to be self-governed. But meanwhile, after Austria-Hungary proclaimed war with Serbia, countries from the Triple Entente later joined into war in a matter of time. As the population was growing bigger the colonies seemed to be getting bigger and stronger. The were even big enough to make their own coutry. But yet the still didnt have the power they deserved. They should have had more power over them selves then they actually did have. Then the british decided they wanted to tax the colonist now.
One loud shot was fired, leaving everyone with the question of “who fired first,” The Revolutionary War had begun. The American colonist were unquestionably right in waging war and breaking away from Britain. The colonist no longer wanted to be under Britain's strong mercantilist. Conflict had rose between the mother country and the colonist. The American colonist were justified in waging and breaking away from Britain because of taxes, treatment, and mercantilism.
War broke out in 1914 due to forces that had been building up in Europe for years. While the Allies blamed Germany for the war too harshly, its actions certainly did directly contribute to World War I, as did those of Austria Hungary. However, each country involved fostered militarism in their country, and became in entrenched in the web of alliances and race for imperial power, all causes of the environment that led to the Great War. Therefore, it could be said that all European countries were responsible, in part, for World War I, as reflected in Documents 5, 6, and 7.

Great Britain tightened its grip on the colonies in North America, expecting colonists to pay for their financial struggles. In order to make colonists pay for the war, Great Britain reminded the North American colonies who had authority by controlling the colonists to submit to various ordinances ratified by British Parliament. This action only showed that arrogance leads to rebellion socially, economically, and politically. Socially, a lack of communication between Great Britain and the North American colonies was to blame for the Revolutionary War.

World War 1 lasted from 1914 to 1919 and rudimentarily, was the fight between the Allied powers and the Central powers. The Allied powers consisted of France, Great Britain, Russia, and Belgium while the Central powers consisted of Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire. All countries had some participation and damage done throughout World War 1, and the countries who started the war may be obscure. World War One was a war unlike any other before or after; as time went on, countries from all around the world were dragged into European affairs, which led to powers exhausting resources to the fullest extent. Total War required all members of society to contribute and take on jobs of much significance that had lasting effects on culture. Throughout World War One both soldiers and civilians endured similar sufferings; however, the roles of each were significantly different from one another and they were affected by the war in various ways.
WW1 is known as the first modern war because it saw the incorporation of mechanical weapons. The Central Powers and Allies both used a variety of weapons such as machine guns, chemical weapons , clothing, biplanes, artillery, tanks, grenades, and rifles. These weapons were state of the art for the early 20th century. These weapons caused casualties to skyrocket as the Allies and the Central Powers were in a stalemate.
World War I brought many changes to society and to foreign policy. For example, women were at work when men were out fighting the war. Germany did many things to make the USA to enter the war after being threaten by Germany. In World War I we were very isolated to other countries. I will be talking about these three topics today.
