Anne Frank is well known for her diary. Many people during the time Anne was alive kept a diary, that is pretty obvious, but one thing that separates Anne’s diary from theirs is that Anne’s was published. Her father, Otto Frank, had published the book after receiving it from an employee, who had kept it, hoping to return it back to Anne later on. Otto typed out Anne’s diary and gave it to others to read. A person who had read it urged Otto to publish the diary.
How would you feel if you were slowly being separated from your friends and family to be taken to concentration camps? Anne Frank, Margot Frank, Otto Frank, and Edith Frank weren't the only ones hiding in the Secret Annex, there was one other family, Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan their son, Peter, and also a dentist, Albert Dussel who also stayed with the family which totaled out as 8 people living in the small attic. It was not a very spacious place and it was hard to get along with one another since they were always together. Anne Frank’s diary has moved many people because it not only shows the difficult time period she lived in, but also how brave she was during it.
The Holocaust was a horrible event in world war 2 and in history. Millions of Jews died in this event. About 2,000 people survive the holocaust. There a famous about a girl name Anne Frank ,who hide in the attic from the Nazis who will send them death camps.
In Anne Frank’s diary it shows how people are scared of the Holocaust without being in the Holocaust. The first reason Anne’s family was scared of the death camps was because that her sister was called to go to the camps. The next thing the diary tells us is that Anne’s family tried to make the most out of their new home i Amsterdam. Another fact the diary tells is millions of everyday people feared being called to the Holocaust. This fear lead to people to try and run away to different countries or try to hide from the germans like Anne’s family.
Sounds of Resistance In 1939, WWII began when the Nazi Party invaded Poland, cousin six to nine million Jewish people to fear there live, this fear began when all citizens had to register with the government and the Jews had to wear the star of David. In fifth grade my teacher had us read the Diary of Anne Frank. This was my first full exposure to the holocaust and was a very influential period in my life. This is around the time I started to ask my parents about our ancestors and understood the ignorance of having a mother who was Bat Mitzvah’ed.
