This essay is written for the purpose of analyzing Takaki's approach on why we live in such a diverse society and how we came about it. Lost Between Two Worlds Trouble is inevitable when a clash of cultures occurs, in Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World a collision with devastating effects captures an incomer. John lives in an antique reservation but his roots come from a futuristic metropolis. John is caught between the savages in the reservation and the overcontrolled civilization, which cause him to become isolated from both worlds by being incapable to function properly on either. John was an outcast in the reservation, for he didn’t share the same rituals as the natives. Linda, John’s mom, came from the civilized world, and raised him with her different beliefs.

Constitutional Convention The Constitutional Convention of the United States would never have been written without compromise by all sides. Our nation, therefore, was founded on the give and take of debate, discussion, and problem solving. The gathering that drafted the Constitution of United States in 1787 was form, all the states was send for delegates, the convention meeting was in Philadelphia but many agreement and disagreement also took place. A government was developing with separate legislative, executive, and judicial branches; Congress was establishing the body of law making.
America presently still faces many inequalities and lack of justice against oppressed minority groups that aren’t white, cis, hetero, Christian men, even after the decades of activism to combat this. Activist constantly fight for these discriminated, marginalized groups and against the systematic oppression they face. But there are too many fights to be fought all at once. To name a few there is; racism, sexism, heterosexism, etc. Textual evidence given to us over the course of this class shows that tackling all of the social justice movements at once is not possible.
In George Orwell’s incredibly famous book 1984 is the story of a dystopian government that is highly controlling. In fact, readers even believe that the writer had even predicted modern-day society. Countless predictions are reflected in 1984 in present day America. A few ideas that were predicted are the cults, the government being controlled, and how the society projects hate.
