D. Credibility Statement 1. My step-father returned from war in 1992 only to find he suffered from permanent lung damage, blood clots, and PTSD. He struggled to find any agency that would help him with medical and mental health support. 2. The number of injured soldiers has since increased beginning with the wars that evolved since 2001. Where it was once found that 1.7 soldiers were injured to every one soldier that was killed. Since 2001, the number has jumped to seven wounded for every one killed (woundedwariorproject.org). E.
