I think it is good for a wrestler to have accolades if they are worthy enough to win them and if the fans respect them for having those opportunities. One way to get respect is being able to win 5 star matches. Also if the fans will look back on these matches and say they are better than WrestleMania matches because of who won them. This also includes great feuds. Feuds can help a wrestler be remembered by the fans. Kevin Steen’s most memorable feud was against Super Dragon (Lewis 2015). Also of how both competitors. It is also good for wrestlers to win many different titles around the world. But winning them is not as good as the importance of the title reign. One way to tell if it is good is if you can remember the title defenses they had. …show more content…
What I meant was is how long a wrestler can have many important matches over a long period of time in a big promotion. Kevin Steen stayed a main eventer in PWG for 10 years (Profile and Match Listing 2015). He just kept on being a main focus of the shows. Now this can be achieved by traveling to many different places and learn more types of wrestling. Like Japanese Striking (MMA) or Lucha. And then being able to use both of these in Indy matches. Chris Hero does this well. He has had matches with Claudio Castagnoli where they have had Lucha sequences then they strike each other to the end. And then other wrestlers can use their seniority to their advantage. Like Kevin Owens who debuted in NXT in 2014 but has been wrestling since 1999. In his feud with John Cena, Cena said he has been in WWE since 2002 and that Owens was the rookie. But he was wrong since Kevin Owens started 3 years before him. It is just that John Cena has been in the WWE longer. This is how Kevin Owens was able to beat John Cena at Elimination Chamber 2015. John Cena was now the rookie. And finally, a senior wrestler should be able to consistently have great matches. My sister’s boyfriend Cody and I were talking about how guys like Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe never have bad matches. This is because we feel like they know exactly what they are doing in there and there is no one better.
