Band is much like motocross in the sense that they take pride in their hard work, they are determined to get better, and they have a lot of passion for what they do. To begin with, Band people and motocross people share the same ideas and that is to get better at what they do. For example, “MOTOCROSS IS UNQUESTIONABLY dangerous. Like every form of motorsport, it involves a vehicle---in this case a small- to medium-displacement dirt bike, almost always under 500 cc. And it requires that you go out and go faster than someone else.”This shows that we are very competitive.This also shows that we are very motivated to get better because we want to go faster than the best rider in the race so we push ourselves to the limits. As a result, we see that band can be the same in some sense but the fact is that we both want to get better. For example, During practice, he decided to try his buddy’s CRF250R and see if he made a wrong choice with Yamaha and to see how he liked it. He could tell it had less power and didn’t handle as well as his YZ250F. He really wanted to test the bottoming resistance, so he pinned it out of the berm and up the lip of LaRocco’s Leap. Right before the end of the lip, the motor ate its valves, causing the bike to slow down considerably. This shows that you can have fun with your friend. This also shows… that you and your buddy can both be competitive and see who is really better or is it just the bike that makes you better.As a result, we see competitiveness and that can be a good thing because it pushes both of you to do better. Connecting back to the thesis both pieces of evidence tell you about motocross but if you go ask a person in band about what they think about it they will have some of the same thinking as a motocross
