“Bass fishing” can mean different things to different people. For some, it brings back memories of lakeside mornings and tournament circuits. Depending on the way fishers fish may increase their chance of catching fish, maybe it's the type of lure or bait you use or even how or where you fish. All of those variables can help fishing in numerous ways. One technique that fishers use is called trolling. Trolling is when you cast your lines out behind a boat or whatever is being fished off of and slowly move across the water at five miles per hour, hoping a fish grabs on. A great way to improve your chances of trolling is using live scopes. Live scopes are cameras that submerge underwater so you can know when there is a fish behind you (Home). Even with an excellent rod depending on the size of the bass, it would be too strong for the line and the fish would break free. That also means depending on how well the fish was hooked it would probably die from having a hook stuck in its mouth and the fisherman would lose his chance at catching massive bass …show more content…

Spinner baits are cast and reel bait, which means you cast it out as far as you can and instantly reel it back in. Spinner baits are large sharp hooks covered by rubber hair and a flashing spinner that attracts all types of fish. When reeling a spinner bait back in you want to reel it decently fast, faster than you would reel in any other bait (Allred). When you are out fishing in shallower tropical waters it's nice to use artificial lures fish are fake insects bugs and even other small fish made out of rubber and other materials to make a realistic-looking bait to trick fish into thinking it's food. When you are out deep sea fishing it is better to use one of these three things. Spinnerbaits, umbrella rigs, and even live bait. An umbrella bait is a lure that has multiple wires coming out of it with multiple artificial lures attached to it to catch large bass. (Home) Shad, minnows, or shiners are helpful baits to catch bass. Baitfish come in different sizes and can be used in all types of bass waters, but they are incredibly productive in deeper water to target bigger bass.
