As ebola is sweeping across Africa, strangers, families, friends, are all praying for God’s help to overcome this deadly disease. Church services are filled on Sunday with people praying. Going to God for help is typical for Liberians, whenever there is an national crisis, they turn to God. President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, just a few weeks ago, reminded the country to keep strong in their prayers for deliverance from this disease. Along with ebola, fear is also spreading across the country. It is the fear that is created by false rumors, rumors that have been elaborated on very much. Such as, prayer houses, these are basically places people can go and have their futures forecasted and promised no ebola. There is also a powerful prayer woman, who says that after seven days of fast and holy bath you will not catch ebola. Ebola has restricted the people from moving around. Since they can’t move around that means not trade or transport of goods. This has caused a scarcity of food. Also, since there is hardly any food, prices of goods have increased dramatically. This deadly disease can wipe countries out easily. If this spreads to US, we could be in grave danger. There are several factors against this though, one being that we have stronger immune systems in America. Another is that we have more hospitals, and more medicine available. This would have a major effect on our lives if this does spread though. In Liberia, people are restricted from moving around, thus, this leads to loss of food and raised prices. Chances are, that you wouldn’t be able to work and you couldn’t get a paycheck. No paycheck equals no food, because the food would be very pricey. Our nation would literally crash, it
