Basic information
The Hammond organ is an electromechanical keyboard musical instrument that is an electric organ.

Hammond organ
Modern digital signal processing and sampling technologies make it possible to accurately reproduce the original sound of Hammond instruments. There are also a number of electronic organs and synthesizers that qualitatively emulate the Hammond organ.

However, players appreciate Hammond's original electromechanical instruments for their special feel and feel. Hammond organs are still in great demand among musicians today.

Origin, history
The Hammond organ was designed and built by Lawrence Hammond in April 1935.

Hammond organs were originally sold to churches as an inexpensive alternative to pipe organs, but the instrument was often used in blues and jazz, as well as in rock and roll (1960s and 1970s) and gospel.

The Hammond organ gained wide popularity in military ensembles during the Second World War, as well as in the post-war years.
