World War 2 was a devastating time that has caused cruel actions such as prejudice towards minorities and self hate of their own citizens in the past. For example, the Pearl Harbor bombing had influenced numerous Japanese American citizens due to their appearances that showed them as enemies to American citizens. In addition, the act of the Japanese American Internment Camps was significantly unnecessary because this was an unjust law that was racist and hysteria, also, Japanese Americans are citizens of the U.S not from a foreign land at all, and lastly, Japanese Americans had served in World War 2 that extinguished many fatalities in the past. First of all, this act had displayed cruel racism and hysteria towards Japanese Americans. By all means, stating in the article “442nd Combat Team,” “ The motto was derived from a gambler's slang used in Hawaii to "go for broke," which meant that the player was risking it all in one effort to win big. The player would put everything on the line.It was an apt motto for the soldiers of the 442nd. As Nisei, or second-generation Japanese Americans, and American-born sons of Japanese immigrants during World War II, they needed to put everything on the line to "win big." For these Nisei, they were fighting to win two wars: the war against the Germans in Europe and the war against racial prejudice in America.” Notably, these Japanese American soldiers in the 442nd had absorbed a significant value towards the U.S. In addition, these Japanese Americans represented on the battlefield of who they were as an American
