Hispanics originated from different countries such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Central and South America and Cuba. Hispanic Americans are also referred to as Latinos because of their Latin America origins. The earliest arrival of Spanish and American Indians was traced back to the 1500’s. The Hispanic culture is known for many of their cultural contributions not only in America but throughout the world. The aesthetics range from visual arts, theater, dance, literature and cuisine. There is a wide spectrum of art that falls under the category of visual arts. The different forms of art are brightly colored and display scenic views or abstract variations of people. Visual arts comprise –but are not limited to- museums, landscapes and portraits. Hispanic cuisines vary from country to country. Typical Hispanic cuisines include maize-based dishes (tortillas, tamales, and tacos) and salsas and other condiments -such as guacamole and chili. Hispanic cuisines use different spices to give a distinct flavor in their dishes. Countries of Latin America uses a different spice and certain countries tend to use them at different quantities which is why there is variety across the land.
