America’s Economy
The US has the most powerful technologically economy in the world. America is also the most popular worldwide country in power and in population. The Industrial revolution is where America gained some of its power from. “During the mid 18th centuries predominantly agrarian and rural societies in Europe and America became industrial and urban”.Before the Industrial revolution everything was handmade, there was very little machines. For example, people went to tailors to be fitted, but after the Industrial revolution there was only standardized clothes. America’s economy has transitioned from a national economy to a regional economy with many events shaping it into this kind of economy.

Henry Clay created the American system he was a lawyer and statesmans. In 1811 Henry Clay was elected to the House of Representatives and chosen to be the Speaker of the House. The American system introduced a protective tariff that allowed the nation to raise money from taxes and protect the nation's goods from cheaper priced foreign items. It also created new transportation systems to America. New industries were created and roads and canals were built.
The westward expansion of the US is one of the many memorable events of the 19th-century in American history, historians write after the Louisiana Purchase, westward expansion it “very nearly destroyed the republic.”In 1803 the Louisiana Purchase took place, doubling the size of the country. Almost 7 million Americans migrated westward in hopes of securing land and being successful. Pioneers who settled west became cash croppers and grew marketable products.
