Stephanie Ericcson appeals to readers emotions, because everybody does what she says in her writing. Being around people, and telling them things don’t always come out like they should, When talking to people it’s ok to tell the truth sometimes. People don’t always need to know the truth. Being in a bad situation and trying to get out of it, and telling a lies ok, some may not agree, but I think its ok.
She became a best friend to me. Having the book in her perspective was interesting. Her thoughts and feelings often sounded like things I would think, or even say at times.
She is very successful in describing this to her readers. I personally like the topic because change is a pretty big part in this book, that is because you see how the characters are before and after the LRA and how it has either matured you or created you into something you wouldn’t have even imagined you would
I liked the story because it felt realistic like it could actually happen that
I was interested to see how she coped with life after a child’s death. But I feel like I didn’t get a very personal account. The story read more like a written statement than an insightful and reflective interpretation of what happened. Bobbi Gilbert takes you through the series of events paragraph by paragraph, day by day, citing exactly what transpired. This way of writing removed me from the story and I never felt connected to the family the way I would have hoped.
The way he describes the story make me feel as if I am right there with him, going through what he is going though. I think that everybody is
What I didn’t really like about it, was the lack of development for their relationship. To me, it seemed that she hated his guts, then boom! He says he is able to break her mother’s curse which makes her already attracted to him. I believe the author could’ve had the two slowly open up to each other, and maybe include a few awkward moments that shows the development of their love for each other. Despite the minor setback, I could not contain my excitement and muffled my squeals with a pillow.
Although the story may be a bit too complicated it tells a story that can be true and that can actually happen in real life. This story may also have a dark side too it. Anna Cayne did some things that we unforgiveable. She was basically a psychopath in the story.

This quarter I read This is the Story of you by Beth Kaphart, from beginning to end this book was very interesting and intriguing. I found myself sitting down to read and then not being able to stop. I would definitely recommend this book for any high school student to read. This story is about a little town called Haven.
I was able to become proficient in this through the three different essays. These essays included a personal narrative, an analytical and argumentive essay. When I first began my personal narrative, "Learning to Ride A Bike," I dreaded it. For me, writing about a personal experience is difficult. The main purpose of a narrative is to express yourself, but I also had to keep in mind that I had an audience as well.
What makes her words appealing is how relatable she is not only as a person but as a woman. She has been through the struggles of what it felt like to be a young girl trying to impress others in hopes of fitting in and that being said she might have seen herself in the young girl who asked her that question and in turn felt it to take it upon herself to tell the true secret to gaining confidence. Though Ms. Kaling does babble a lot in her essay and for some readers they would much rather read a more concise and simple essay and she does make unnecessary comments that weren’t really needed to propel the memoir forward.
