The novel 1776 by David McCullough tells the story of George Washington and his perseverance through the war, making him a successful general and leader. The novel focuses solely on the year of 1776, the year that America gained its independence. This gives McCullough the opportunity to provide great detail about battles, events, and most importantly, George Washington. The book describes Washington as both a leader and a general because of his great qualities in both areas. In the sections of the book where America is brought up, Washington is always brought up as well.
Ellis thought that Washington feared the possibility of dying while in office, by volunteering stepping down from office he set the model of how the future presidents should leave office. He wanted to quit while he was still well known, to show that presidents were replaceable no matter how well know they are. This Chapter shows Washington is his true kind and responsible nature, Ellis showed Washington during his important moments of leading a country. Ellis message here was how Washington set the terms of how this country should be run. He made sure he didn’t stay for long even though people wanted him too.
During the 1790’s George washington was the first president of the united states. During this time he wrote a long letter addressing the americans and their social society. After he resigned from the office, he wrote up this letter. He addresses a lot of different issues concerning the morality of America. Washington spoke of his concerns, of foreign affairs and the long-term alliances with other nations, Washington also yielded against excessive political party.
John Adams, born on October 30, 1735, in Braintree, Massachusetts, was the first vice-president and the second president of the United States. He was also a very influential person in America. Although he wasn’t really the most famous president, he contributed to many aspects throughout his presidency and political career. Most of his contribution includes his writings, speeches and essays, his part in the office, and his role in the signing of important documents. Due to his high knowledge of the law, he was able to write responses and essays that were very influential to governments.
To be a Progressive meant simply to want better for the country, to not be affiliated with any particular political party over another, and to be willing to stand up in one’s belief of the possibility of improvement for the country. Jane Addams is a prime example of how one person can accomplish feats well beyond comprehension when there is a driving force of motivation. She helped to create a settlement house in a similar form to community centers of today. She was willing to invest her heart, love and time into the betterment of others’ lives. Addams went on to become a woman in a political world and eventually would be granted the power to campaign for improvements in Chicago.
During the Revolutionary Era, there were many people that impacted and changed the world for Americans today. One main person who impacted us today was George Washington. He built the structure of the United States Government today, and made laws to ensure people’s freedoms, and rights. George Washington was the first president of the United states and he fought for a stronger unity for the people then and that still impacts today. He believed that the country had great potential but they need to get over their differences in order to come together.

One of the hardest parts that laid on George Washington’s shoulders was no knew what it really involve; there was no real answer either, he just had to make it up as he went along. There is scarcely any part of my conduct which may bot hereafter be drown into precedent.” Washington helped create the basic aspects of being the president that would later set the standard for all
George Washington was a great leader. “He respected all his men and listen to their ideas one by one.” This makes happy his men to be treated with respect to be listening. They feel like humans. Doing this make people want to work that help run well the United States.

Contemporary culture often neglects to recognise Washington’s greatness. Sadly, he has become a figure so far removed from the ideals and lives of modern Americans, that his name often provokes boredom.
