When it comes to global music genre preference, the Rolling Stones and Rock and Roll come before the Wu-Tang clan and Hip Hop. Most likely because of their popularity and the amount of time they have been in the music industry. Although the Rolling Stones may have more fame than Wu-Tang and have definitely been around much longer, they certainly did not make a bigger influence on Rock and Roll like Wu-Tang made in Hip Hop. Not the Wu-Tang clan, when it came to the business side of the music industry the Wu-Tang clan made sure they had a plan. In fact the Wu-Tang clan made a bigger impact in that aspect of music than the Rolling Stones did. This is another subject of music in which the Wu-Tang clan had broke grounds. The RZA which is the group leader of the Wu-Tang clan had a plan to sign the group as a whole to a single label, which was Loud Records, while still allowing the rest of the members to sign to the record label of their desire like Method Man sighed to Def Jam, Ghostface Killah to Epic Records, and so on and so forth this way they could branch out and expand in the music industry. Which allowed members affiliated with the Wu-Tang clan to get their time to shine and continuing the RZA's plan to branch out as much as possible in the music industry “When planning for a decade plant a tree” (Tao of Wu). The Rolling Stones, although didn't get this deep into branching out into different record labels, probably because the members of this group haven't released much solo albums. However they did make their own record label which they named Rolling Stones Records, so they didn't leave the business side of the music industry untouched. Wu-Tang clan certainly did not leave any stone untouched they created and launched their own clothing line into the market by the name of Wu Tang Clothing Brand Ltd which was became a rather successful clothing line collaberating with other big clothing companies. Some members also joined the acting business.
