When we think of heroes we often think of a masked vigilanty or a cape crusader swooping down from the heavens and saving the day. Although heroes come in many shapes and sizes, they also tend to come from different backgrounds. The people of the United States pride themselves with freedom and equality. However, still to this day there is a struggle with discrimination. Matt Zoller Seitz’s article “The Offensive Movie Cliché That Won’t Die” definitely sparked some interest and was definitely right when it came to the offensive issue most people do not see.

On Stereotypes and Their Consumption Avenue Q, a Broadway production, has been both appraised and scrutinized for its brash sense of humor. The musical addresses the world from a cynical viewpoint in a way that parodies the sense of wonder and happiness that comes with many children's programs such as Sesame Street, however a few have questioned if it’s direct approach to today’s issues have gone too far, in particular: racism. “Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist” is perhaps the shows most well known number, and has been laughed at time and time again for its blatant stating of racist tendencies that most tend to avoid, while others find it too blunt and simply wrong on its approach to race. Amid the motion picture, we discover that the father tragically engraved his own particular prejudice and contorted feeling of reality on his two youthful, susceptible young men by transparently talking against ' dark history ' and 'dark publicity books '. This particular scene of the father 's discourse to the young men influences us to understand that most bigot have had their mind effectively formed into a supremacist attitude on them. This is the reason prejudice exists even today, despite the fact that 'formal bigotry ' has been canceled for a long while. Individuals basically exchange their convictions onto the more youthful ages, making some spoiled things like bigotry difficult to cure altogether. The prejudice of Derek just
Society is built upon a grand scale of assumptions and misunderstandings, all of which tend to lead us in a path for the worst. There is, however, a remedy for our seemingly infinite list of problems that lead us to war, hate, and unrest. Unfortunately, this remedy is not very likely to be found because we have not been looking in the right places, which happen to be right beneath our noses. You see, we as a society have spent our lives writing books, directing movies, and painting murals, and yet we have overlooked our own genius; Footloose, The Breakfast Club, and Dirty Dancing. These three movies all share a common thread, and it’s not their epic soundtracks and classic ending scenes.
The stereotypes depicted makes it hard for groups of the subculture to value themselves. In this day and time, we have come to a new era where representing false stereotypes of different subcultures is okay to produce on media. The Correlation Between Macbeth and Modern Entertainment The Tragedy of Macbeth was written with many themes along the same lines as themes we would see in movies, literature, and music found in our society today. For its time, it was accelerated way beyond any literature we would see written then with these new themes. Macbeth contained violence, inhumane murder, a woman driven role, ambition, and a looming sense of evil. Between the constant violence and the introduction of the lead female role, most works of film today are centered around what Macbeth brought to the table long ago. The main character of Macbeth was a man who was driven to prevail, he would not let anything or anyone get in his way until he accomplished his task.

The handout mentions, “Aladdin and The Lion King, show children both the importance of being yourself and living up to your responsibilities.” Many viewers may not realize the real message being portrayed in Aladdin the first time watching it. In fact, Aladdin asks for a wish to make him a wealthy prince in order to woo Princess Jasmine’s father. Aladdin, in reality, is a lower class thief.
