AWI in support of Iraq Economy The decades of conflict have caused Iraq shortage of jobs for Iraqi people. They have suffered the outcomes of economic stagnation due to war, conflicts and displacement. According to Iraq government labor statistics in 2013, 11% are unemployed equivalent to 653,000 of which 496,000 are male and 157,000 are female. Given this problem, is there any hope? Ability with Innovation (AWI) has been actively involved in the reconstruction of Iraq through performing a huge number of services. Services like welding and fabrication, corrosion protection, scaffolding, equipment rental and maintenance, workforce solutions, procurement and logistics, electrical contracting and general construction services. This led to AWI being the largest provider of Host Country National labor in Iraq with over 1600 Iraqis currently employed. AWI maintains less than a 30% turnover in its Iraqi workforce and more than 60% of Iraqi employees have been with AWI for over a year. Also significant is that over 90% of Iraqi National employees have experience working on contracts for international companies, giving them the experience and skill sets to guarantee continuing future employment. Iraqi National employed by AWI in the past 8 years AWI has provided around 2500 local Iraqi National for its LOGCAP III and LOGCAP IV Projects with Kellogg Brown & Root Services, Inc., 100 for our projects with PAE Government Services and 500 local national for SOS International LLC. Additionally, in our different contracts with Government of Iraq, International Oil Companies, and the Coalition Forces in Iraq, AWI gained huge experience in local sourcing and staffing.
