There are a few trends that may have an impact on Xbox One S’s charge, fortunately, it will be positive. First is the increasing demographic of more adults that grew up in a video game generation. According to Lenhart, Jones & Macgill (2008), more than half of American adults play video games. Adults tend to have more freedom to purchase video games as they please, therefore should help the charge. Additionally, children are spending half the time outside that their parents did (Press Association, 2016). This forms an opportunity to entertain children while indoors.

Usually during Black Friday, there are promotional deals on game consoles and video games which encourage consumers to make a purchase. For the most part, the Xbox One S is meeting the users’ needs in the same capacity as its competitors. It offers third party apps, such as Netflix, for streaming movies and television shows, graphics met expectations, and carries most of all game titles. However, one thing that falls short is the ability to use virtual reality, unlike Sony (Barrett, 2017). Even with the amount of popularity video games have received, there are still a large population that are not interested in games.
