The minute you think of giving up think of the reason for the reason why you held on so long. This quote represents the book and movie I’ve recently seen and read “Life Of Pi”. This quote represents the book and movie because Pi is a teenage boy whose parents recently died in a tragic storm. Pi was left with a lifeboat and four animals on the lifeboat with hidden food and water. Pi wanted to give up because he was terrified of the tiger (Richard Parker). Out of all the animals which were (Orange Juice) an orangutang, (Harry) a hyena, and a dying zebra (has no name). Pi at first was gonna give up because he saw Richard Parker as a threat. At the middle, Pi was dying from starvation. After a quick look, he found food and water. At the end, Pi went over the fear of Richard Parker and Pi decided to tame Richard Parker instead of killing him. For example, both "Life Of Pi" the movie and book show and tell Pi looking for food and water. In the text, it states "My eyes immediately fell upon what I was looking for whether in a bottle, tin can or carton, water is unmistakably packaged." Also, "On this lifeboat, the wine of life was served in pale golden cans that fit nicely in the hand." In the film, Pi immediately saw the food and water. He opened it with passion and speed. Pi drunk the water so fast he thought it was the best beverage in the world. Also, in the movie, the water was in a can instead of bottled
