A man who does not conform to who is regarded as a "normal guy" in a given society will find it difficult to live in comfortably in his home. Homelessness is usually a result of several of complicated issues. First, domestic and family violence is considered to be the most common reason why people become homeless. Domestic and family violence is that one person uses abuse and/or violence to control his/her spouse or other family members through fear (Domestic Violence Prevention Centre, 2016). Therefore, victims prefer to stay outside all day in order to avoid being at home which is considered as nightmare. Second, financial difficulty is another major cause for homelessness.
Homeless youth are always dealing with poor nutrition, victimization, substance use, and abuse. Unfortunately the services provided are very limited and cannot help a huge chunk of the homeless youth. Homeless youth experience more substance abuse and drug addiction than non-homeless youth, this causes them to be mentally unstable and unable to be a functioning member of society. There are many temporary services provided such as shelters, drop-ins, meal programs, literacy improvements, and counselling programs; although these are available and there to help the youth, they are all flawed in their own ways. What the government does not take into consideration is the long term solutions to put youth in poverty to an end.
There were many homeless children in England from 1869-1930. In those years about 100,000 children were sent to Canada because the orphanages were too full to hold any more children. When the children got to Canada, the farmers that took them in horribly abused them. It’s strange to think how harsh Canada’s past was, Canadian farmers basically ruined the life of over 80,000 British Children.
Poverty is a social problem that affects a significant amount of individuals across all cultures. However, the youth growing up in these conditions are becoming susceptible to falling into deviance provided by their peers. Young individuals born into poverty have little opportunities to advance because they unfortunately didn 't win the genetic lottery of being higher class citizens. In the song “Institutionalized” by Kendrick Lamar (Kendrick 2015), suggests that poverty has become an institution where individuals are held hostage to their social class for being born into poverty. Kendrick uses the phrase “master take the chains off me” (Kendrick 2015 line 15) to emphasize the strength of poverty and how it is so closely related to slavery.

Among those who are marginalized include refugees and newcomers to Canada, who face language, employment, and cultural barriers. The Canadian Observatory on Homelessness (2021b) notes that difficulties surrounding access to affordable and available housing options combined with a lack of access to transportation or lack of credit history put newcomers at an increased risk of homelessness.
