All American Boys is a gripping and thought provoking book that explores issues of police brutality, racism, and social justice in America through the perspective of two teenagers Rashad Butler and Quinn Collins. Rashad is a sixteen year old african american who is brutally beaten by a white police officer while Quinn a white classmate of Rashad is a witness of the assault. The story follows their intertwined stories as they deal with their respective identities, beliefs, and responsibilities in the aftermath of Rashad's assault. The Supporting Characters are Rashad's father a former police officer who believes that the good cops outnumber the bad ones.
Police brutality has become a very controversial topic in the United States over the past few years. The book All American Boys written by Brendan Kiely and Jason Reynolds, tells the perspectives of two high school boys from Springfield and how police brutality has impacted their lives. Rashad is a black male who loves to draw, he is also in ROTC but only does it to make his father happy. Rashad lives in a traditional nuclear family with his mother, father, and older brother Spoony. His best friends are English, Shannon, and Carlos.
In our world today, contemporary issues are more prevalent than ever before. In the novel There There, author Tommy Orange sheds light on these issues through the viewpoint of twelve different characters. Although each character has their own story, they are all intertwined and share Native American heritage and struggles. All of the characters' stories come together by the end of the book, in a violent and tragic event at the Big Oakland Powwow.

Rebecca Griffin in “Why Don’t White People Believe People of Color About Racism?” discusses how racism is affecting today’s society. Griffin feels there is a lot of police violence toward the colored communities and also feels there is such a thing as white privilege. Griffin also includes in her article that whites cannot or will not believe that the African Americans are being victimized by the government and police because of systemic racism caused by some notion of white privilege. While many may agree with Griffin’s ideas, in the end, she is incorrect because we need to take a look into the bigger picture in this essay and realize it is not only just about one race that is experiencing these issues. The memoir All Souls by Michael Patrick MacDonald is an important work because it is a testament of how one person transcends gang violence and racism. People read about gang violence and racism in the news, but they never think that it is happening close to them. All Souls reminds us how close and real violence can be through its captivating and horrific stories. It reminds us of how bad racial tensions can be. All Souls is based on true stories and commemorates those who died in Michael's Southie family and neighborhood.

Differentiating between spree killers and serial killers in an ongoing debate between criminologists (Montaldo 2019). Criminologists focus a lot on the psychological issues of spree and serial killers when studying. Serial killers differ from spree killers in many ways, this can include their motivations for killing and their behavior at the crime scenes (Morton 2023). When researching, you should look into past spree and serial murders, like Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer who were serial killers and Charles Starkweather and William Cook who were spree killers. Serial killers are when somebody kills three or more victims but each victim is killed on separate occasions (Montaldo 2019).
Introduction Juvenile delinquency due to gang relation has increased drastically. Many people fail to realize that gangs have a considerable influence on the decisions juveniles are making. Adolescents are easily influenced by the members of the gangs and manipulated to commit certain crimes. As juveniles they are not mentally and emotionally mature to make such critical decisions, which in turn allow gang members to manipulate and control the youth they recruit. Juveniles become a part of gangs for several reasons, including, gaining protection, governmental, and social issues.
