I sit at my desk as the familiar emotions overwhelm me: dejection, isolation, and sorrow. At age fourteen, I was once again disheartened by the lack of resources available to pursue my passion of becoming an online creator. The thought of comprehending the tasks of editing, rendering, and publishing a video seemed as possible as escaping a black hole. To overcome this, I bore the weight of educating myself in the key aspects to creating a quality video.
To begin my self education, I spend a fraction of my night attending online courses teaching how to cut and render a video. As I progressed in my courses, the exhaustion I felt after enduring a long school day, grueling football practice, and hours of homework began to erode my initial spirit of enthusiasm. But this discouragement is overcome by ambition. I spend money on an advanced video editing software, Sony Vegas Pro, and further my understanding of how to script videos to reach a younger generation on YouTube. I record tutorial videos on my computer, edit them with visuals appealing to younger generations, and upload them to my new YouTube channel. I advertise my videos on other online pages to grow my audience, and receive a greater variety of feedback.

Every video uploaded was trial and error, and many failures in trying to reach an audience finally found its turning point. After months of recording, editing, and publishing videos, my number of viewers skyrocketed. Videos of mine reached up to 36,438 views after only 24 hours. I began to receive emails from well-known YouTubers wanting to collaborate, and gained the opportunity to partner my channel with YouTube. As a YouTube partner, I receive monetization on my videos reaching up to 100 dollars a month, more than enough to satisfy my fourteen year old desire for video games.
