Yvette Thompson was born in 1993 on November 12th at Our Lady of Mercy in the Bronx, New York. Her mother was a young twenty-year-old desperate to be on her own and move out of her parents’ home. She accomplished graduating from high school and attending college only for a semester until the death of her oldest brother and sister. Which caused her to have to find a job to help support her family. Her father was a twenty-seven-year-old man establishing himself in the work force. Yvette was the first child to her mother and the second child to her father. Unfortunately, Yvette parent’s relationship ended when she was the age of seven resulting in a single parent household. Although she may come off as distant when first meeting someone, it is for her own personal reasons. Her ability to trust someone has to be earned and once it is gained she is dependable, supportive and loyal to those who grow a bond with her. In reference to the Big Five Factors in which Cattell provided the theoretical groundwork for the measurement of personality (Engler, 2014). Yvette personality can be further interpreted. The five factors are Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Neuroticism. Openness is willing and open to new experience and Yvette falls on a more conventional side. She rather everything be familiar and not try nothing new. Conscientiousness is planning ahead rather than being spontaneous. She is high on conscientiousness. She is reliable, well-organized and self-disciplined. Extraversion is being more sociable, talkative, energetic. She is more towards an introverted personality type and tries to avoid social situations but is willing to convert over to a being an extravert when comfortable. Agreeableness is self-explanatory, being agreeable, courteous, sympathetic. Yvette is more towards disagreeableness only because she finds herself giving people second and third chances only for them to take advantage. Someone who is more towards internal locus of control would generally perceive themselves as responsible for his or her actions. Having a sense of control, whereas External locus of control is based on fate. Just being lucky it is more than likely out of their control. Yvette was more along the lines of the internal locus of control when it came to her attribution of her successes. She interpreted all of her achievements a result of her skills and her intelligence. When given credit for her accomplishments she accepted and not related it to fate or luck she knew she deserved the acknowledgement for her hard
