While Zebra is healing, he meets someone named John Wilson. He is an artist that is interested in Zebra. John asked Zebra if he wants to join his art class during the summer. John is a retired Vietnam veteran, who lost his arm in battle. When John asked Zebra to join his class, he was hesitant because it was kind of suspicious that a man approached him. He said,”I can 't draw”. The vice principal, Mrs. English, advises,”drawing is something you can learn”.
