Nelson Mandela once said, “I am the master of fate and the captain of my destiny.” The two people who fit this quote are Hector the Prince of Troy or Hector Zeroni, the one who got away. One is a prince who ignores fate and the other is an average person that was trying to get his life on track. These people are different in many ways but, they are also the same. Let’s compare the two and you can decide who you would be.
Hector, the Prince of Troy, and Hector, the one who got away, are polar opposites. Hector Zeroni was not a fighter however, that is why Hector of Troy was famous. The one who got away had no family, he didn’t know his mother, until the end, and didn’t have a father. The Prince of Troy knew his family; King Priam, Queen Hecuba, Andromache, and Scamandrius. When Hector Zeroni was at Camp Green Lake, he was not smart, he couldn’t spell, read or even do math. The one who got away is brave because like his nickname says he ran away from Camp Green Lake when he was in trouble and succeeded. Fate was not a concern with either of them because, Hector of Troy went into battle anyway. Hector Zeroni did not care that anybody who ran away never made it out to tell their story. One similarity is not so satisfying, this is that they both are thieves. Achilles’ armor was stoles from Patroclus by Hector of Troy. Hector Zeroni stole Clyde Livingston's Sweetfeet and another pair of shoes the next day. These are just a few of the similarities, there are hundreds more that could be
