Victoria Klein-Letter of Intent-President-10/28/17 To my Zeta Phi Sisters, I am writing this letter to show my intent to run for President of Sigma Kappa for the 2018 term. I am running for this position because I truly care about the growth and well-being of Zeta Phi; I believe that we have the potential to become the vision we see for ourselves. Since joining Sigma Kappa, I have not only grown as a sister, but as a person. I can reflect back on my experiences, as both a general member and a member of the executive council, to see what I have done right and what I have done wrong and I would like to make the most of these experiences by applying them to another term on Exec. Thus, I have ideas on how to lead this chapter in better direction. Although some of us may be concerned about being the top sorority on campus, I believe that our efforts need to start closer to home; if we genuinely love Sigma Kappa and we are passionate about it, then we won’t need to remember why we loved it in the first place and our passion will be exuberant. I believe the 2017 Executive Council made positive changes, by trying to lighten the calendar this past semester, so that we are not over programmed and so that we have free time. I believe that the next step then is to make use out of the time that we are here and let girls make their own ‘Sigma Kappa Experience’, since not every sister wants the same thing out of a sorority. Although we have mandatory events that we must do, as per OFSA and SK Nationals, we still have room to make these events more fun; I believe that we can do this by making our own programs more interactive and about topics that are more meaningful to sisters, so that we actually get to know and appreciate all of the other women in our chapter. If we take advantage of all the internal and external opportunities to get to know our sisters, such as recruitment and participating in other organization’s events, then we can remember why we love Sigma Kappa and
