Zeus God of Gods Zeus the youngest son of the Titans Cronos and Rhea, was the first of all gods after he overthrew his father along with his two brothers Hades and Poseidon. Zeus is an imposing figure among the gods and people often referred to him as "father of the Gods and Men". Zeus is the king of the mount Olympus which is the home of the Greek gods. There he rules the world and imposes his will onto gods and mortals alike. Zeus lead the fight against his father, After he swallowed his brothers and was about to be devoured by him too. He forced Cronos to disgorge the stone of Pytho , that was a sign of mortal men and then his two brothers, this war was called the Titanomachy. As a result the defeat of the titans who then were cast into Tartarus an underworld dark region,in this process he also freed the Giants, the Hecatonchires, and the Cyclopes from their dungeons. Whom then as a token of their appreciation offered him thunder and lightning previously held by Gaia, after the battle, he shared the world his elder brothers Poseidon and Hades. …show more content…

Zeus was sitting on top of the golden throne on Olympus, he revered by all gods and mortals as equal, he was called as the god who "brought peace in a place of violence" and they referred to him as "Lord of Justice". He created all natural phenomena related to the air and sky, such as storms, tempest and intense darkness. He had at his commands mighty thunders and lightnings , which will open the sky to rejuvenate the earth with life-giving
