The zodiac was a serial killer in Northern California in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. In note he wrote to the police, he claims he has 37 victims. However, the police only consider 7 to be rel Zodiac victims. He has never been apprehended but many suspects have surfaced. The Zodiac targets couples in secluded areas. Because the Zodiac is unknown, no one really knows much about him. Everyone just knows about his letters and all the people he has hurt.. No one knows about his childhood or family. He could have a mental illness because what he did was so twisted but no one will ever know. One thing the police are positive about was that he was a white male. He said he was hiding in the park. He also put a piece of the bloodstained shirt in the letter to prove that he committed the attack. He also stated his next attack will be young school children. He mailed another cipher but to this day no one has decoded it. On November 9th, the Zodiac sent a seven page letter announcing he wasn't going to write anymore letters. He admitted to killing 7 people in this letter. He also said instead of popping the tired of the bus he was going to make a bomb. He will continue to kill, but will make it look like accidents. Arthur was the main suspect in the zodiac case. Arthur was in the area when Cheri Jo Bates was stabbed to death. The Zodiac was also four minutes away from Allen’s home during the attack on july 4th. Two days after being sent about killing a school bus of kids, police found out he was working as an elementary school as a janitor. Mike Mageau also identified him as his attacker. They dropped him as suspect because their handwriting did not match. Gary L. Stewart wrote a book attempting to prove his biological father was the infamous Zodiac killer. Stewart was adopted and was contacted by his birth mother.Through vigorous research he had found that his biological father died in 1984. He then compared his father’s handwriting to the Zodiac and they were a match. Although, Stewart is convinced his father is the Zodiac, the case is still unsolved. Although the Zodiac killer was never caught, he has a lot of information on him about his killings. Some people to this day are still trying to decode his ciphers.
