The Zodiac killer is an unsolved murder case from 1968-1974. As you know, most killers are quiet about their murders but, “Zodiac” (as he dubbed himself) was quite the opposite. He terrorized San Francisco with is murder spree, teasing the police with his coded messages. (see image 1) One message was deciphered by the news, quoted “I hope you are having lots of fun in trying to catch me. … I am not afraid of the gas chamber because it will send me to paradise all the sooner because I now have enough slaves to work for me,” He had at least 5 murders connected to him but he claimed to kill 37. His first victim was 16 year old Betty Lou Jensen, and 17 year old David Arthur Faraday were found lying outside their bullet-peppered car. Jensen was found dead at the scene. She was found with 5 gunshot wounds. David died because of a gunshot wound to the head on the way to the hospital. Half of a year …show more content…

The figure shot multiple rounds at them, killing Ferrin and severely wounding Mageau. Within an hour of the incident, a man called the Vallejo Police Department, giving them the location of the crime scene and claiming responsibility for both that attack and the 1968 murders of Faraday and Jensen. Despite evidence that included fingerprints, Mageau’s description, the decoded cipher and a wave of tips and leads, police were unable to track down the Zodiac Killer. September 27th, 1969 he struck again. Cecelia Shepard and Bryan Hertnell were relaxing on the shore of lake Berreyssa in Napa county. They were approached by a man in a hooded jacket with the Zodiacs symbol on it. He tied them up before brutally stabbing them to death.
