It was a cold night. The silvery pearl-white wings of moonlight were chipped into tiny feathers of gleam by a horrific army of blackened spooky clouds that did not hesitate to start a pouring attack of heavy murky rain. It was accelerating to the ground as a bomb waiting to explode slaughtering the life underneath it and chopping the souls into minuscule pieces. The wind marched into the chilly picture blowing like a sneezing monster as it peels off the yellowish cadaverous leaves from the petrified strangled branches. Along with a horrific act of springing back from one tree to another, it furiously howled a filthy impenetrable cold into the gritty air. It was a night, in which everything froze. A night that chilled to the bone and forced the shivering spirits to collapse into an arctic world. Except for mine. I, Jack Kostopoulos, was sweltering with adrenaline running like a wobbling duck away from what I once called my protectors. I heard their bulky boots thundering on the ground behind me, threatening my life with every step. They were getting closer and I was running out of gas. My lungs dry, exhausted and isolated shrunk inside me, while a generous fire started in my throat pulling me to suffocation. Dark spots suddenly started to appear in my vision making it hard for me to recognize things around me. And still I went on. I felt their breaths blowing on my neck, they were in spitting distance of snatching me from life and I knew I cannot stop now. I pulled the
