Neglect can be the cause of numerous mental health Issues, behavioral issues, the misuse of substances and alcohol, or other things such as jailtime or death. Neglect can lead to things such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, Poor school performance, social problems, safety, and decision-making problems, and many different disorders. Neglect is viewed as one of the most common and deadliest form of child maltreatment There are so many stories about children losing their lives, just from the cause of neglectful parents and a poor system set up to protect them. Neglect can look like poor appearance and hygiene, health and development problems, housing and family issues, changes in behaviors. Neglect is also known as a form of child abuse.
