Naiema Isaacs iAssignment 1; Great teachers Please explain which Teaching Methods you feel is best to use when you qualify as a teacher, and why?I believe that the following are the reasons why I would employ the Communicative Language Teaching, or CLT, approach: Instead than emphasizing linguistic competence, Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) aims to develop communicative rather than linguistic competence. The foundation of this language teaching approach is the notion that learning a language requires using it to communicate meaning to others. Among the typical communicative activities utilized in CLT include role-playing, simulation, and group discussions. In the classroom, these exercises promote conversation among students studying the target language. Initially, classes, pairs, or groups may have discussions. Students' capacity to cooperate and communicate will be enhanced by tasks that require them to work in groups, in pairs, or as a class. Teachers can also provide students practice using the target language in real-world settings by modeling them in the classroom. Third, there is a similarity between role-playing and simulation; the distinction is that role-playing permits the use of assumed identities and deception. Once I'm qualified to teach, I'll employ cooperative learning strategies like putting students in groups to work together to solve problems in the language of instruction—in this case, English. As a result, students can test out the peer-learning technique, which gives them confidence, and their communication skills can grow.2. Please also reference examples of when you were a primary, secondary, or tertiary learner and what method(s) your teacher employed that most resonated with you. Primary School – Method: SuggestopediaThis approach was applied through music therapy and storytelling. The instructor would narrate stories to us that included sound effects, allowing us to see the events in our minds. Communicative Language Technique: Secondary School Method. I connected with the CLT approach because it made studying more engaging for me and enhanced my capacity for understanding and communicating in social situations. Method: Lecture for Tertiary Learners. Vertical learning underpins the lecture approach, in which the instructor conveys all of the knowledge—the "know-how"—to the pupils. Kids are supposed to be able to learn everything on their own. The instructor delivers the material in the form of a lecture while the students take notes.i
